Sky Haus Self Check-Out Procedures

If you’ve been offered a self check-out, just follow these instructions and we'll refund most of your cleaning fee (we still have to do your laundry and dump the garbage). You can also have a 3:30 pm late checkout instead of 11 am. 

• Linens/Towels

  • Place all used linens and towels in the white laundry basket inside the bathroom closet.

  • Replace bed sheets and pillowcases.

    • Linens for the full sized bed are located in the clear bin inside the cubby hole under the top bunk upstairs.

    • Linens for the twin sized beds and additional full sized linens are located in the bathroom closet in the bottom bin on the right.

  • Replace bathroom towels 

    • Towels are located under the sink, or in the bathroom closet in the top bin.

    • Towels do not need a fancy display, although it’s welcomed!  Just make sure there are 2 full sized towels on the counter and both a hand towel and washcloth on the 2 smaller racks. Place a black washcloth on the counter for make-up removal, and a bath mat over the shower door.

• Kitchen

  • Wash and dry all dirty dishes and put away in cabinets.

  • Wipe down stove and countertops with cleaner located under the sink.

  • Clean and wipe down coffee pot and other appliances.

  • Wipe down oven if used.

  • Clean sink.

  • Remove perishable food from fridge, and wipe down if needed.

  • Wipe down table and chairs.

• Bathroom

  • Clean and wipe down shower with cleaner located under the bathroom  sink.

  • Wipe down toilet and use cleaner from under sink and brush as needed.

  • Wipe down sink, and clean mirror with window cleaner from under kitchen sink.

• Living area

  • Replace throw pillows on the couch.

  • Wipe down coffee table, the table next to the chair and TV stand. Make sure all remotes are on the TV stand.

  • Neatly stack any games or toys behind the TV stand.

  • Make sure fireplace is in OFF position.

  • Turn on upstairs light above the window, and a light downstairs for the next guests.

• Sleeping areas

  • Make used beds with clean linens.

  • Replace throw pillows and blankets.

• Vacuum

  • Vacuum is located in the bathroom closet closest to the sink.

• Outside

  • Hot Tub

    • Make sure hot tub cover is on correctly.

    • Add chemicals. Chemicals are located in the bathroom closet.

      • 1 scoop of shock

      • 1 scoop of chlorine

    • Skim surface with skimmer located outside near hot tub.

    • Pick up any trash, cigarette butts, gum, pet messes, etc. as needed.

Most of this is common sense. Please use your best judgment and make sure it’s a clean, comfortable place for our next guests. If you have any questions, feel free to call or text anytime.
